places to go on holiday in sept/oct/nov

right, the missus wants to go on holiday, i aint really that fussed, she wants somewhere nice and warm, nice beaches with some entertainment also.

the only catch? its got to be in the winter months either sept/oct/nov or end of jan or feb actually too

i dont want to spend a fortune either, i.e Australia (flights cost too much =( although i really want to go)
 
I'm going to Florida at the begining of September, weather, beaches and entertainment.

Though it depends on how much is too much, cheapest flights I could find where £630.

As long as you don't mind Russians everywhere.

she hasnt suggested anywhere, thats why im coming you the fine fellows of the GD oh and you ;)

id say i wouldnt want to spend more than £3000 all in tbh not sure if thats doable though, ive not been on holiday abroad in about 6 years
 
Canary Islands are warm until November, Dec/Jan/Feb it drops off quite a bit.

Tenerife is probably the best bet, it's a bit tacky in places but I've been to the other islands and they're much the same but on a smaller scale.

The Hotel Bitacora or the Vulcano are at the nice end of Las Americas and are very well run hotels and shouldn't be too expensive out of season.

£3k, would easily do a week in Europe on a beach some where with plenty of spending money between two.

Very easily I'd like to think, no doubt do two weeks without much trouble.
 
we went to turkey in October and it was really nice, it was a bit cooler (less bugs) and coming to the end of season so was nice and quiet.

I imagine if you went in September it would be hotter and busier.

Likewise we did Portugal in October a few years before which was also really nice and it was the same, so again Sept would be better.

We went to Tenerife for New Year a couple of years ago with friends and families, not somewhere i'd recommend for more than a weekend or a week max tbh. It was nice to be in the sun for hogmany and new year's day but other than that it was a pretty boring holiday.

hmmmm yeah i would like to have something to do there other than just sit on a beach, whether it be things to look at, or activities or what not.
 
You might get a good deal to Cuba or similar in November. Should be nice and warm. £2640 will get you a week all inclusive in St Lucia with virgin holidays first week of November. Otherwise all of the above sound good to me. I'm going to Belize and Antigua in November. Caribbean is at it's cheapest this time of year

Eh! For £3k for two the world is your oyster! For that sort of money I'd suggest you could even squeeze 10 days on a Caribbean island let alone a week in Europe (unless you expect 5*** hotels).
 
3k is not so much of flights end up being 1200. Then you have to get to the airport, parking etc, you are nearly half way through already. For Europe it's a good budget, especially if you go with Thomas Cook to Canaries or similar. The hotels might not be luxury but perfectly comfy. You could use half that and still have a great time.

I did a quick job in Tunisia last year and thought it was a great place. Very cheap too, and surprisingly boozy
 
You want somewhere along the equator really, I'd suggest SE Asia (Thailand would probably be best) or maybe the Caribbean depending on what kind of holiday you're after.
 
£3k is heaps! We went to Vegas and California for 2 weeks last sept and didn't even come close to that. We are going to Florida in 3 weeks and for Flights/Hotel/Park tickets/trip to Miami all only cost us £2700. And £700+ of that is park tickets.
