Ive got two games that use this piece of **** Uplay. Ive got Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon (bought on Steam) and normal Far Cry 3 (retail not steam).

For some stupid reason, when I launch Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, Far Cry 3 dosent show in my Uplay games list at all. If I play Far Cry 3, the other game Blood Dragon shows in my games list but as " locked and not registered", so if I input my CD key for it from Steam, it says not valid.

I tried a few times but it wouldnt have it and now it popped up saying your account has been temporarily banned! FFS!

All I wanted to do is register my legit CD key on your heap of **** DRM software and now its locked me out. So I cant play either games now.

Why oh why do these clown companies insist on us using these shoddy no good programs.

Might be to my detriment but Ubisoft's draconian DRM and general negligence of the PC crowd is the main reason I've given up on them and haven't purchased a single title since the cell shaded Prince of Persia.

Really? When my Far Cry 3 wouldn't download after a full wipe and reinstall of my hard drives it took them well over a week to send me a message in reply saying, effectively, "Keep trying, don't reply to this message."

Steam versions of uplay games are separate from acual uplay games. For example, I bought Driver on steam, it uses uplay, but when I start uplay itself from start menu, Driver is not there and cannot be registered there.
Basically steam games even if they have uplay, cannot be registered on uplay itself, which is separate.
My nonsteam games (bought on amazon or in retail box) that use uplay are all registerable and perfectly working, using the uplay itself. I am playing AC3 right now, no issues.

Thats just ridiculous, whoever coded Uplay at Ubisoft needs to be shot. Why cant there just be one Uplay for christs sake like theres one Steam or one Origin that contains all your games no matter where they were bought from as long as they are under the same username. Id understand if I have two separate Uplay logins but Im using only one.

Thanks for info though, guess I'll have to contact them or wait for a time lapse maybe if its only a 'temporary' ban and it'll work in a few days.

Uninstalled Uplay in January after the account was hacked and took over 3 weeks to get sorted...... Not impressed with the software or Ubisoft customer support.

As with munkez I have had my account hacked by some complete **** from russia and have been in touch with there customer support for over a week now and im not very amused with there lack of said customer support with it. Have had a new account activated that took 5 days :( and my FarCry3 game was supposed to be tagged to this new account but was it NOPE!!, when trying to input my legit key it came up with "this key is already activated on another uplay account". My old ticked was closed without my knowledge and had to start another. Dont think ill choose them again to be honest......

Uplay is complete ****e. I only downloaded it to run the copy of FC3BD i got with the reloaded thingy. Downloaded, installed, click go and it says running, but nothing happens. Nothing...

Not even an exe popping up in the processes. Just sits there. Uplay thinks the game is running but it isn't.

PoS.

One thing I've liked about u play lately is being able to play Farcry 3 in offline mode with no issues .. I went through a two month stint with no Internet and it was a hell of a lot more understanding than steam was for me.

Haven't bought a Ubisoft game since the first Assassin's Creed, and I never will again. Don't support a company that has nothing but contempt for you as a PC gamer.

It strange, if u play a uplay game via steam, it still loads up uplay to your account but not the main folder for games, it like it seperate one for steam games

For all the people that think uplay is great, I do hope you dont have to use there support. Just google hacked uplay accounts and you will see the extent of the problems and the lack of any support they give :(

Uplay overlay is the worst thing in the world. Worse even than GFWL. Couldn't launch Farcry 3 with the overlay enabled as it would CTD as soon as it hit the menu screen. However it worked fine with it turned off...apart fromt he fact it wouldn't let me play multiplayer unless it was turned on. DERP.

The worst thing in the world about Uplay is how slow game downloads are. On Steam I get about 10 - 12MB/s (yes megabytes - I have 100Mb/sec internet connection) on Uplay I'm lucky to get 800KB/sec.

Things are in a bad state, when people are thankful for DRM systems allowing them to play games that they paid for, even when they have no internet connection. You know that if you didn't bother paying for these games, you would be able to play them hassle free, anytime, internet or not?
