Its like the only way I can fall into a deep sleep these days. The feeling of no control over your eye lids and the heavy feeling in your muscles is so relaxing.

Anyone else do this often? Probably not healthy as this only means I am not getting enough sleep. My favorite show to fall asleep to is breaking bad, not that its boring but it just calms me.

Often? I can't sleep unless I'm sitting watching a documentary! It's generally a crime documentary I select aswell, weirdly.

I'm not sure how I got into this routine but I literally can't fall asleep unless I'm lying in bed with a documentary playing on the laptop beside me.

When the mrs is over, it's a no go, so I lay there for about an hour, sometimes more trying to asleep.

The worst is when you are falling asleep watching a TV show so you decide to go to bed. By the time you've brushed your teeth and stuff you're wide awake.

I've never understood the ability some people have to fall asleep while doing something, or when not actually trying to sleep. Though I think if you're sitting there and your struggling to stay away/keep your eyes open either you're really tired and need more sleep or there's something wrong with you.

Yeah. I start to drift off watching MOTD sometimes but then I have to get up, get changed, go up to the office to switch off my PC etc :/

It's quite normal. You're bound to fall asleep if you're tired and relaxed. ie watching some TV, on a nice comfy sofa. Getting up, brushing your teeth is etc is refreshing and stimulating. So it wakes you up.

I used to sleep with the TV on. Now it's radio though headphones. I take the headphones out in my sleep. Happy days.

It happens to me sometimes, I like falling asleep then waking up half way through another program and taking the 5 seconds I watch completely out of context.

I woke up one night only to see a character through a potato at the floor and start crying. :)...

I find the television quite hypnotic.

The best place to fall asleep is a bus or train, the steady rhythm has me in the land of nod in no time.
