Afghan interpreters win the right to come to the UK.

I am not entirely on board with this decision, not because I don't want them here, but because I think it sends the wrong signal. It's almost as if we're saying that we expect Afghanistan to descend into chaos when we depart and thus these men will die. That may be true, but admitting it openly only invites such an outcome.

thats why they are being offered a choice between this and a finacial settlement that would set them up in afghanistan pretty well

also I dont think anyone is being nieve that afghanistan is going to be a lovely happy place to be when we move out, at least in the short term
 
Another joke of decision by this joke of government.

There are people in this country who can't even gets job yet we give them to foreigners. All hell will break loose soon. I suspect more of riot scenes we saw in 2011.

Perhaps we should invite every single Afghan woman here too, because if the Taliban do regan a foothold then they will be the ones to suffer most.

That would be fantastic for the lulz - here, have your stinking desert back, all your women are being educated in the UK but we left you the sheep to sleep with :p

Pleased with this decision. Currently reading the Peter Hitchens book "The Cameron Delusion". In it he lists all of the military blunders of the past 150 years or so and this could probably be added to it.
 
I used to have an Afghan called Cleopatra Horning C Moonswift and would gladly let her back into the country down from her fluufy dog kennel in the sky.

She used to like mints.
