Hello.

Im looking for my first wheel to go with the xbox360. I play a lot of F1 online and drifting on forza 4. Im not sure a great quality shifter is what I need to spend my money on as ile quite happily shifter up and down using buttons when on forza.

Any recommendations? I will look second hand as I only want to spend £60 really as I am looking at buying an elgato as well.

Try to get a Logitech their wheels are good quality.

logitech wheels are not compatible with the xbox 360. While there are technically adapters that let you use the logitech wheel with the xbox, they are unbelievably bad. The adapters only allow for 180 degree steering rather than the proper 900 degree steering of good wheels, the FFB does not work and I believe that a lot of the buttons do not work either.

I was in the same boat as you SkidMarkKing a while ago, but I was also interested in using the wheel on the PC so I went with a logitech G27 and just put up with it not working with the xbox.

Realistically the only two options you have are to use one of the offerings from fanatec which is xbox 360 compatible or to use the microsoft wheel. The fanatec stuff is miles better, but as with all wheels you have to pay a lot for this difference.

Whatever you choose will not be compatible with the xbox one, which is only compatible with xbox one accessories, so thats another thing to think about

Apparently theres an adaptor now so you can use Logitech wheels with the xbox360.

I might just buy the official microsoft wheel. Only 270 degrees turn so not very realistic for drifting but you can pick them up for £40/£50 used so it will be ok for me to play about with .

To be compatible with the Xbox, it would have to be either Microsoft's own wheel, or something like this Fanatec wheel. It will cost more, but it is compatible with both consoles and PC, and is a very good wheel with feedback, 900 degree, etc.

You will need to buy the pedals as well though, but would be a good investment!

Im actually after a elgato capture card too so ile get the microsoft wheel I think.

I did find a 900 degree logitech wheel for £90 new but its PS3/PC :(

I have a Logitech 'DFGT', and it annoys me to play Forza, as it just isn't compatible :(

But yeah, the Fanatec are rather expensive.
