Do these exist? The Alienware M14X is the only one I know about but it looks like a kids toy and has a horribly weak card for the price.

Are there any 14" laptops that are good for gaming? ie best bang for buck.

What about 15" if 14" is not available? Needs to be small enough to travel with when required but not using games on battery. 17" is too big.

You could check fleebay for a Asus G46VW

Or

Lenovo Y500.

Dell outlet has some amd powered 15" laptops or look for a refurb Asus N55SF.

I don't know if its been released or due to be released but, the ASUS G46 sounds exactly what you're after. I believe its got an i7 3630m and a GTX 660M. Whilst also being 14 inches.

If that isn't availible over here have you had a look at the Lenovo Y500? its got the same processor but, a GTX650m. It also has the capability of adding another 650m through an 'ultrabay' thus, running in SLI. without the extra card I think its around £800.

Er that would make it pretty much match a M14x then. The 660m is nothing more than a clock bumped 650m GDDR5 (of which the M14x already runs).

If the M14x won't cut it then the G46 also won't cut it.

A 15.6" Clevo based laptop sounds like the best mix of portability and power.
