Did not realise there were so many murders in the UK!

I find it quite shocking how many of the female victims were killed my their partners or ex partners.

The majority (>75%) of murder victims were killed by people they know well. And yes, women killed by current or ex-partners account for a significant proportion of deaths. Many of which are pleaded down to manslaughter. Interestingly, in those cases where the women kill the men, pleading down is much rarer.

I was going to start a thread but I'll hijack this one since it's about murder.
I've got a family friend who was found guilty the other day and is waiting for sentencing. Yes he is guilty but we all know the major problems he has had for years. From the age of 19 he has had massive fits and doesn't know where he is or what he's done and he's been under Medical Professionals for nearly a decade with it. Sometimes it was so bad he would have to be put in an induced coma. Professionals spoke up for his condition at the trial but he was still found guilty (which he is). The thing is we know that he wouldn't have known what he was doing but the Jury has just seen a man who has previous for GBH.
Hopefully they will send him where his condition can be treated. All during the trial it kept getting called off and during 2 periods he was put in an induced coma.
