There are race cars that would 5 min X lap the Ring these days if a 956 did a 6.11 in 1982

Just seen an in car video of the P1 being driven at full chat by an acquaintance. Not allowed to say where, when etc but holy **** it is fast. I don't think its 6:33.26 fast, but its not far off. Sounds epic too; very similar to the Huyara.

Was that around the time they shortened the Nurburgring by 2 miles? So if it was before then, that's some feat!

It was reduced by around 2K's I think but is pretty much the form it is today. The race did not use the new track at all, it was on the current BTG type layout exactly, though the time was not BTG it was a full lap!
