looking for advice on rental

hello.

going to my first festival this year, albeit a quit one (Eden festival in dumfriesshire).

im toying with the idea of getting a bigger car possibly a 4x4 of some kind as my 3 door fiesta wont take all the gear me and the boys are planning to take.

so looking for advice on what you would expect to pay and the best places to look.

I know Enterprise do 4x4's.

You will need dates and locations to get a quote. Yo also need to be over 30 for many rental companies with these size vehicles.

An mpv will be cheaper to rent. Though car hire in this country is a total ripoff.

It might be cheaper to pack you car to the rafters and then let your mates get the train.

By the time you've factoring in collecting it and dropping it back you'll we looking at a weeks hire. It will probably cost at least £300.

EDIT: How much gear are you planning to take? You will probably be allowed to leave site during the festival so you can always pitch up and then go food/booze shopping somewhere nearby.

Agreed it is expensive enough for a basic car, I can only imagine what the premium would be for a MPV/4x4

Also since it's you're first festival I'm guessing you're quite young. I doubt any of the big companies will hire you a 4x4 if you're under 25.

Plus you'll be leaving a nice shiny rental car in the middle of a muddy field surrounded by thousands of other cars for a week - one situation where i'd recommend getting that damage waiver!!

Lol, I'm 30 just a late starter.
