Nissan Juke - any owners on here ?

I'm sending it back

It's actually a chore to drive it, I took my Mrs' Fiesta down the shop earlier because I couldn't bare to get in it :/

I've got a focus titanium coming instead :)

One of the most disgusting looking cars available at the minute. Looks like a mutated foot. The lights on top of the bonnet are also perfectly positioned for dazzling some oncoming motorists.

Also couldn't swing a cat around the inside and found the thing to be incredibly lethargic to drive.

Can you tell I'm not a fan?

Seem popular round here too. Is it just bought by people who can't afford a decent SUV?

I don't get why someone would want it as a company car either, it doesn't seem to be good/excel at anything other than be a cheap 'new car'.

Had one as a hire car and it was awful. Very small inside and dull 1.5 diesel. However it was fairly economical. Interior is typical Nissan, not very good and plasticity feel. After a day with it we swapped it for a Focus which was a lovely place to be.

There was an amazing 2yr lease deal on this thing. Would have gone for it if I needed a car.

That's why we have one £1200 down and £99 a month for maintained rfl tyres 25k I think.

Wife's doing 1\2 the petrol of her e39 saving £160 a month in petrol alone and she loves it.

I've had the misfortune of having to spend about 12 hours over the last 2 days driving a Juke. It wasn't a pleasant experience.

I had the 1.6 petrol Acenta Premium Pack. In summary it was like driving a toy car.
  • Firstly the car badly needs an extra gear - At motorway speeds the engine noise is too much, cue headaches.
  • The interior design and quality is very bad - Poor quality plastics everywhere.
  • The climate control is rubbish - it can't keep the cabin at the set temperature, whatever setting it was on.
  • The Sat-Nav unit was something out of the 80's. The buttons and graphics reminded me of an old 8 bit computer setup.
  • No front centre armrest so you end up resting on the cups in the holders or hitting them whenever you change gear.
  • It has the smallest fuel tank ever. I had to fill up nearly 4 times because the range on a full tank was only around 200 miles.
  • The seats are uncomfortable and designed for smaller people. I'm 6'2" and my shoulders where pushed forwards by the curve at the top of the seat.
  • Interior space is limited- small boot and lacking front & rear leg space.

Good points
  • The high driving position.
  • The rear parking camera - a very useful gadget
