No that's a price drop
I should've waited a little while longer!

I was reading somewhere that employees at HTC firmly believe that Sense is easily the best OEM skin and there's no need for HTC to release a ASOP version of the HO but Peter Chou has already approved it and that put a lot of people's noses out of joint and it was the final straw with Chou hence the mass exodus
Edit It seems that you already found what I'm talking about in the HO thread. Nothing gets past you Nexus

He's the CEO and has to make decisions and if employees don't like it then walk, which they have done. The HO is a very good product and Chou is quite right to stand by it.
Re the Custom ROM scene hence why you have resisted flashing a ROM on your HOS! It isn't as easy unfortunately to flash ROMs on HTC devices, a Mate of mine tried flashing a ROM on his HO and he's very well versed to flashing ROMs on his devices. His HO ended up in a bootloop and he spent most of the day trying to recover his device and he swore that it was more hassle than it was worth.
Samsung are superb when it comes to flashing ROMs their ODIN software is a god send and is much better than KIES in many respects. With triangle away and mobile odin apps that devs have produced the whole custom rom'ing of Galaxy devices is so easy even a dummy can do it
Remember that Samsung have a stream of revenue coming from all sorts of products including TVs, microwaves, cameras, etc etc so they can afford to splash the cash when it comes to advertising and not think twice about it.
Nope, I am genuinely looking forward to seeing how/if apple innovate with the new version and what features they will copy from other phones and market them as if they were the ones that came up with those features, that is what they are best at Take a feature that was on phone from 2005 and market the **** out of it and watch everyone get super excited about it!
I
almost believed you and then....I read the last line and started laughing hard. That's exactly what Apple do
Sony's firmware is always coming soon, no matter what device it is, and quite frankly it's very embarrassing. They then drop their devices like a hot potato and no longer support them leaving poor consumers on their own. Not very nice and that would annoy me no end.
Hopefully soon Samsung will release updates to make the S4 more stable, they did the same with the S3 and they're very reliable when it comes to bringing out fixes for their phones. I can't stand the look of Touchwiz and I will not hesitate rooting my phone flashing a new ROM and theming it when the tools appear.
Still a very good phone though, I know how strongly both you and kona feel about SAMOLED tech and I'm beginning to subscribe to the same mindset.
I'm getting along so well with the S4 that I haven't felt the need to go back to my beloved N4
