Cheaper than the Note2, odd, the sell on phone is only really worth it if its price plus payg/sim only is cheaper than contract, except for the smaller markets of the rich but uncreditworthy or criminal, often a cross over there, so the One might only go for £350 or less, still a profit though.

I would go with the 30 day rolling contract idea instead of tieing yourself into a new contract

HTC One SV fetch £150-170 on the Bay of E, I picked mine up £150 ish, pretty impressive mid range 4G LTE phone.
