Anyone know these?

My Asus HD6870 Direct CU is artifacting & pixellating so its got to be RMA'd. More fool me for not getting it from OCUK

Its just over 18 months old so unless the vendor deals with it (havent contacted them yet) I've no idea what the procedure is.

I assume its still 3 year warranty on their cards?

please help me folks thanks.

Contact the vendor requesting an RMA bud. They will/should give you an RMA number for which you then return it to them. Then it is a waiting game and Asus are not the quickest :(

Not in a rush really, I've only just swapped PC's & the rig will be used when my sisters boys come to visit. I'll contact the vendor tomorrow thanks.

Well the vendor has sent me an RMA number & it's now on its way back there, only time will tell now. At the end of the day, I just want a card that works faultlessly & I will not be happy if they turn round & say there's nothing wrong with it.

If it reaches 28 days waiting time from the day the retailer receives it back, contact them again, the retailer should either replace from stock, or offer a creditnote/refund.

With it being ASUS, the chances are you will be waiting 28days, and if you don't chase it up, months!

OK, Thanks for the tip. The vendor has tested it & if I read their reply right its been sent back to Asus for Replacement/Credit. I can live with a replacement provided it works properly, but I would prefer a credit as I will use that to buy a gigabyte card instead. The last gigabyte card I bought was a HD4850, bought in 2008 that's still going strong in my Nephews PC.

The thing is, the card was bought in April last year, I know its under warranty with Asus but being a card that old (even though I've hardly used it) can't the vendor refuse to give me a credit? I don't expect full credit for the card only what the card would be worth on the 2nd hand market.

Remember that if you do get credit or a refund it might not to be the full amount you paid.

In calculating how much you get they can take a account of the 18 months use you've had from the card.

Well the RMA replacement has failed now as well.
I've tested it in both my PC's & replaced now what I think was a working perfectly PSU too. :(

Asus are awful at RMAs. They sent my gfx card to czech republic and it came back bent! They refused to acknowledge the damage done and the borked memory chips.

Never again would i buy an asus product.

Such a shame as Asus products are among the very best. Until they sharpen up their act considerably, I'll not touch them with a barge pole.

Asus have one of the worst rma's out of all the vendors by far. Considering they are one of the most expensive - not great, I wont buy asus products.

I just hope that the vendor will replace this card. I've not had a lot of luck with the last 2 Graphics cards I've owned. I may well ask them if I can pay the difference & get a gigabyte card as the last one I bought is still going strong in my nephews pc.

Only had one RMA with Asus, a motherboard and it took 8 months for the turn around!
It hasn't put me off because still they have great products but I suppose the place of purchase helps also as the computer outlet (one of OCUK's main rivals) did absolutely bugger all to help me.

I think I know who you mean and their customer service is VERY poor.

yeah couldn't agree more on the asus customer service - real shame as they make some great products but hell will have to freeze over before I go near them again. GL getting your card sorted - keep chasing!
