Evening,

Just thought i'd mention that BT are doing Infinity 80Mbit for £26.50 a month (plus line rental). I upgraded on Friday and its pretty brisk! downloading with 9.3MB/s.

Might be worth checking out for you speed junkies! I have read that BT is now truly unlimited (Atleast I have not seen any slow downs yet). Played a few games and get pretty low pings, no issues as of yet.

All subject to your area of course.

I pay £20 a month for unlimited 80Mbps FTTC and free weekend/evening phone calls with Plusnet, doesn't seem a great deal to me...

I think i may leave BT next month and then rejoin as im paying £31 + £15 line rental... for 40Mb Infinity

All these new offers are silly cheap vs that.

Or may get Sky TV and the 40MB they supply with that....

BT has some cheek. I didn't use my phone for 1 year+ so they cut it off. When i was with BE i didn't use it for years as well but the line remained active and if i realy needed a phone line i could plug in my old phone and get a dial tone. I called them up asking when i can cancel and they said one week before the end of the contract. That seems to me like unlikely to be the case, i bet i phone up one week before and they get another quarter out of me or something like that. Nothing but scummy thieves end of day.

Is that infinity 2????

We're currently paying £7.00 a month plus line rental for infinity 2, as BT upgraded us from their cheapo broadband to infinity 2 at no increase in monthly charge.

£26.50 sounds a bit steep if you ask me.

Ummm... the standard price is £26/month, isn't it?

Yep lol.

I'm an Infinity 2 customer since it first launched. Have always been on reduced price contracts after the first 18 month contract finished.

12 months @ £17.65/mo and now
18 months @ £17.25/mo.

These are standard retention prices and so not hard to get.
