Hi all,
This is my first post, I am a long time lurker first time contributor!
In January I bought a product which is no longer available for sale but its page is here: KFA2 GeForce GTX 680 EX OC 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
When my card is at a workload over about 65% it beeps.
The beep starts of short and then stops.
The beep then starts again with a longer beep interval then stops.
The beep becomes longer and longer until it stays on permanently (or until I tab out of a game (where the load drops off))
It is not a problem with temp, its staying between 40ºC - 70ºC.
I thought it may be a problem with my +12V rail from my PSU since it was fluctuating a bit so I replaced me PSU to a Seasonic X-Series 850w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply
My +12V is now pefectly between 12.01 and 12.00 so I am a happy bunny but still I get this beeping when under high load.
Also I have 3x BenQ GL2450 24" Widescreen LED Monitor and if I try to turn my computer on with all 3 connected I get no video output and get a long beep noise. If I unplug any 2 screens in any combination it will boot past POST then i connect the other 2 screens and all is fine until the card is under heavy load again.
This occurs with all the video output ports (eg it will boot with any of the 3 plugged in eliminated the ports as the issue)
I wish I had a another card confirmed working that i could plug in and see if it has the same issue but this is not an option.
I have an
GIGABYTE GA-X58-USB3 Motherboard
12GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM
i7 950 (not-overcloacked) proc
Seasonic X-Series 850w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply
KFA2 GeForce GTX 680 EX OC 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
I am going out of my mind trying to fix this, anyone had similar problems? My old card worked fine in this PCI-E slot so I dont think its that...
Any ideas of any kind? I'll do anything! (this sounds like the start of a porn movie)
