Hope I didn't miss an earlier thread on this but it looks like the new summer of Test cricket is starting with... yep a good old English collapse!

All this talk about the Ashes when England can't even beat NZ!

This is incredible. There's not much more exciting than a low scoring test match. Bowling wickets are far too few and far between these days.

Edit: What a bizarre end to the match!

Fantastic cricket, thought things were going pear shaped this morning, but we recovered well, & the bowling split between Anderson & Broad was outstanding.

Broad's 7-44 was epic, ripped NZ apart:D, last time we only used two bowlers to destroy the opposition was 78 years ago, 1935.

Also wish I could get to Leeds for the next test.:(

I'm also looking forward to the Ashes, if we can continue to bowl this well.

made me proud to be Yorkshire today with Root and Bairstow been the main earners :D good on ya lads

LOL NZ are just so so bad at batting, the comedic batting they showed at Lords in the first Test was pretty damn hilarious.

Yet again they are doing it again, 97-6 already.

Very weird.

Only reason I can think of is that the sunshine this afternoon will stiffle the swing. It is forcast overcast tomorrow?

Rain forecast for morning to lunch and the afternoon clear

lol Can Wagner ball to us all the time

What is Trott doing? The last thing you need in this situation with rain predicted on day 5, is a strike rate of 25.

We lead by 429 runs and have come out after lunch to bat, the highest ever run chase is 418... Cook is going to look stupid if New Zealand hang on for a draw with 1-2 wickets to spare.

edit: rain is forecast for tomorrow as well.

Yeah, bt honest, I'm surprised we didn't declare at 400. Or 450.

It's a bit silly now.

Looks like the weather is closing in a bit too.
