Shops could face legal action over 'lads' mags'

No, just trying to make the guy think about what he'd typed.

There's no need to get all worked up about it.

This is interesting news, I thought such magazines were already encased to the covers were hidden behind a layer covering them.
I also thought that a good follow up would be banning the Sun for the same reason, as page three clearly harasses any person who has to sell it and touch the paper while it is being purchased.

GOD HELP THOSE WHO WORK IN ANN SUMMERS.
They're likely getting raped by everything they sell.

People are being murdered on the streets, this is because we are too tolerant.
Tolerant to the point of idiocy, we actually thing this rubbish has campaign groups behind them, people who thing this is the worst thing in the country currently.
They need to wake up, look around, and see the world for what it is.
Our forward thinking tolerant attitude to everything allows the country to go to ruin, as it might offend someone to correct them for doing wrong.
You don't like dirty magazines, then just get on with your life. Someone else clearly does like them, as they buy them. If they didn't they wouldn't be published.

Such an utter waste of time money and effort that could be best spent on productive things.

this would have been terrible news in the 1990s.

Actually it is a waste a paper, ban them. Use the phone/tablet/PC. While you're at it. Ban the Argos catalogue and phone books.

Far worse is the millions of items of junk mail that get put through people's doors. They may as well just cut the tree down and put it straight in the bin to cut out the middle man. At least someone wants lad's mags.

If these women want something to complain about, there you go.

They've all lost considerable sales over the last few years and will die a death before too long anyway. Just need to let it happen naturally rather than let the damn lesbians take them down

most amusing :D

The thing is, as with all things feminist, this campaign is fraught with hypocrisy/double standards. These are the women that will cry and moan about places like stringfellows/spearmint rhinos being degrading to women yet as soon as the Chippendales or equivalent roll into town they're clamoring to get tickets and go watch men do exactly the same as the women do in the aforementioned establishments.

If they're successful with this test case, will they be also asking for Cosmo, Glamour, Heat etc, all of which have and still feature MALES in undies and 'sexual' poses.

No, they won't. Why? Because this group of women don't want equality, they want superiority and are abusing the equality laws to get there.

What's next? Shampoo adverts?

I think all activists/campaigners should be required to under go an IQ test and that number should be clearly stapled to their name whenever they bring anything up.

Aye makeh me sick all these lads mags with scantily clad women in it. You'd never see that sort of thing making men out to be sex objects especially not in your own home!.....

As long as they start by banning that grotesque Joe Hart head and shoulders advert first.

Actually that advert makes me laugh. That's about as serious an injury as epl players get. God forbid if they actually got a proper challenge in on them. Beautiful game my arse, beautiful theatrics most of the time. Lower divisions is where proper football is played ;)

Ok ban topless men in adverts and holister, it's sexist too, double standards much!

Plus those magazines are for idiots and 15 year old boys

Presumably girly magazines will have to confirm too?

The typical FHM covers, AFAIK, don't tend to reveal any more than the above.

Content mentioned too ---- both prominently featuring sex related content.
