Evening everyone on Saturday I picked up this

2005 Ford Mondeo ST220, 70K, FSH, £4291
It replaces my Volvo S60 D5, feels so much better being back in a powered petrol car. I always wanted one of these as well. It did take a good few months to find one of these in good condition there is a lot of rubbish out there.
So far I am loving it the smooth power delivery and how it loves to rev has nice growl especially when you take it over 4K rpm. Very direct steering especially when coming from the Mondeo.
So far I am averaging 17MPG in the 40 miles I've driven it all town which frankly I am not bothered I didn't buy it for the fuel economy.
As for plans not a lot, fix the bumper sag, refurb the wheels, give it good polish and wax when it gets a bit nicer and take it to the next RR.
Compared to the Volvo its not a well built, I actually find the seats in the Mondeo more comfortable maybe because I sit higher in the Mondeo. The Mondeo can do a 3 point turn in 3 points. Oh and it handles.
