My fabulous ship
Hey guys, I just bought 2 of these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-041-KA&groupid=962&catid=1529&subcat=1852 for my front rad,
but looking at the fittings they won't work.

here is the radiator thread

Do I need to buy http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-031-KA&groupid=962&catid=1529&subcat=2588 for it to connect? I don't see how it will... work?

More info needed mate, as is the fitting will be fine, do you mean you need the coupler to extend the height, so the fitting misses the fan ?

well, the description said I might need it...

For a basic elbow fitting, the Koolance Coupling Adapter could also be used.

ontop of that, I am concerned that this doesn't state what connects to it :S G1/4 but the other end? is that a compression fitting? if so what size?!

paul, sorry I think we typed at the same time :D do you think it will be fine? no I think it will be fine from the fans, it's actually connecting the thing I'm concerned about :S can you tell me how it would connect to my rad and a tube?

you just screw the threaded bit of your angled connector in to the rad, you then fit a tubing fitting to the female side

where is the problem?

what size tubing do you have? that will dictate what size compression fitting you need

that angled fitting that you have is G1/4 male on one end (to go in to the rad) and G1/4 female the other, to connect a tubing fitting to

you could have just bought an angled tube fitting instead...

13mm x 19mm

the angled tube fittings are quite big, and I don't think they would have fitted in the area, I'm using koolance quick disconnects and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't fit at all in this part of the case, there are also no angled fittings for koolance QDC at 16mm x 19mm so I guess I now have to buy a male and female pair of connectors? as this adapter technically becomes a part of the rad?

It's not a fitting to connect directly to tubing, it's a fitting to move the connector thread through 90 degrees. You need to add your own compression/barb fitting to the part you've got.

yes, you need to use whatever connector you want to attach the tubing to

I wouldn't be using QDC's on every component personally, you can just use a compression fitting for 16x19mm tubing

I wanted to use delux white bitspower connectors but I seen nothing that would fit 13mm x 19mm tubing... just realised my previous comment said 16mm x 19mm... it's 13mm x 19mm :p
