Hi all,

Need 2 front tyres for my 2008 Mini Cooper (195/55/R16 87H). Currently have Goodyear Excellence on the front and Goodyear NCT5 on the rear.

The car currently has runflats all round. I'd like to stick with these as I presume that running a pair of runflats alongside a pair of non-runflats is a bad idea.

Should I be buying another pair of Excellence or a pair of NCT5, or indeed something else entirely? I've obviously been looking at the major manufacturers (Bridgestone, Continental, Pirelli, Michelin).

Ta muchly (and apologies for yet another tyre thread).

You don't have stupid big wheels, keep the run flats.

The issue people have with run flats on the mini is that they make the ride crashy and harsh.

This however is only really the case of cars with 17s and above and and the sports suspension.
