I'm not getting on with my S4. I've come from a HTC Sensation and i miss Sense / Dont like Touch whiz so unless i can put Stock android on im going to see if anyone who has a HTC One will do a swop.

you will 100% be able to put stock android on it in no time at all.

There's already unofficial builds but the fact google are releasing their own version means its inevitable. All you'll need is a custom recovery and then when that is released the ROM will end up out there within days, flash that and you've got an S4 google edition.

There are ways in which it might not be so easy such as a hardware change or something but I find that very unlikely.

Using it to play your music / videos?

If so it'll most likely be that.

Have you tried using a separate launcher like Nova or Apex? That might help remove the feel of touchwiz.

1 question about the s4. when the screen goes off can it be turned back on by pressing the front button? just like on the s3.

fair point that actually, I have holo locker which gives the stock lock screen, nova launcher with stock icons, the stock messaging app and a replacement dialler.

I barely ever see touchwiz.

Just tried it they're myself and it did nothing.

. Pres and hold home and power for a couple of seconds. You'll hear photo click. Jobs a good one.

So my alarm didn't go off this morning.(Using the alarm clock plus app). Is this a known issue with the phone or is it an app problem and is there any way to fix it? Bit annoying tbh. Happened last week as well.

I've never known home and power to be screenie on a Samsung. I think someone said HTC worked something like that.

Swiping your hand across the screen should (if it's enabled in settings) and volume down and power is the standard Android way. I don't know why they would change that tbh...

I just take a screenshot by moving the edge of my hand across the screen from left to right. Works fine on the S4 as it did on my S3.
