How big of a difference is between them?
I don't have a great deal of funds at the moment and I need an upgrade from a 775 system,
Is it worth saving for the 3770k or is a 2600k going to be sufficient for csgo, cod?

For those Titles you dont need HT so how about 3570?? Its got PCI ex 3.0 and stronger IMC plus 8% CPC efficiency on Sandy at a very good price. In your situation this would be my choice.

Haswell is intels upcoming cpu range, (socket 1150) which is a direct replacement for the current 1155 ivybridge range.

No idea on cost as yet sorry.

Though with the new cpu's being repleased, we may see lower prices on the current models. As the guys above have said, an i7 3770k will only be beneficial in games that use hyperthreading, (bf3 and crysis 3 being two examples). It can also help with multi gpu situations like sli/xfire. The i5 3570k is an excellent cpu for gaming, tbh it even handles my sli system pretty well.
