AMD is projected to release code-named Curacao and Hainan graphics processing units that will belong to GCN 2.0 family of products in Q3 2013, reports Chiphell web-site.

rumour says they are coming in 8 weeks time. These being the HD 88xx and HD89xx

If true what i said previously about the performance gap between the flagship and second card will definitely be wider than 5% this time around, even at matched clocks.

They are maybe taking nvidias approach with the gap between the 770 & 780. I would imagine both loose sales on their top line due to how close in performance the next card down is, I would guess the 670 & 7950 both outsold the 680 & 7970 respectively so widening the gap should in theory at least boost sales.

I take anything from chiphell with a bucket of salt, they seem to put anything and everything up without any real foundation.

IF it does surface in 8 weeks, they have a nice price gap between the 770 & 780 to sit their top card in ~£450.
