Injured Bird in Garden

Magpies are classed as vermin. your allowed to humanely take a brick to it's head...

other than that. Leave it to it's fate or I'd be tempted to keep it if you had a cage and see if it recovers ?

You're wrong.

Magpies, like all other species, are protected under the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 and the Wildlife (Northern Ireland) Order 1985. This makes it illegal to intentionally or, in Scotland, recklessly take, injure or kill a magpie, or to take, damage or destroy an active nest or its contents.

i dont think they would argue the toss if its on your own land and eating your chickens eggs, at the end of the day they are taking money from us really. if you were just shooting them for the sake of it, i dont think they would be too pleased though

So you saved 1 bird that will go on to eat Untold other baby birds, Mmm Logic rethink required I think. :p
