First night out in 2 years.....HELP.

i was in ginger from about half 10/11 till about 0:45 i think, still a bit foggy haha
i was sat in the chairs near the guys toilets, far left corner of that little raised bit if you know where i mean.

my friend took a few photos of me, and they are horrendous... haha
wingmen are always useless in my experience, if i had the confidence to strike up conversations then i wouldnt need one, but unfortunatley i dont :(
i went out with 2 girls and another guy, but the guy was in a relationship with one of the girls, so the other girl who ive known for years offered to be my wingman/woman, but she was useless....

i wouldnt say im into "clubbing" i like a good dance, but i like to be able to sit down aswell, so im more of a bar person, but ill try everything once haha but i cant stand it when its packed and you cant even move.

but tbh torquay seems very varied in what you can do on a night out, ginger is basically a weatherspoons and its better than the main club in newton abbot (rafters)! but there seems to be something for everyone in torquay, you dont have to go clubbing, can just sit in the decent bars! where as in newton abbot, your stuck to basically the same route, weatherspoons 9-10, bar 7/jollyfarmer 10-11:30, then rafters from 11:45 till 3am.

but id like to do torquay properly soon, park lane, attic, venue etc.. its just finding some people to go out with!

Oh and the multiple trips to the toilet!
Come on, get those pictures up haha I never bother with 'wingmen' as I've never gone out intentionally looking, best way to be as you've got nothing to be dissapointed about if things don't go to plan. I've never had a female wingman/lady? and I can only imagine how utterly useless they are. You should have struck a deal that if she can't help find you someone then you're taking her home! ;)
That's why I don't like venue, it's always PACKED and after seeing how park lane has been transformed it's got something for everyone, it's like a small club upstairs, and the music is tenfold better than venue anyway.

Regarding ginger, it is actually a wetherspoons, I prefer london inn but that's because it's quieter and I feel like an old fart! I haven't been out in newton before, so I couldn't comment but it does sound a bit lacking in nightlife, and you're right about torquay, it does have a lot of options, and I think the old route 66 has re-opened but it's always been the same s**thole anyway.

If you want someone to show you around or whatnot I'd be more than happy to help, plus it's always good meeting new people.

yeah i didnt have much faith in her tbh! and ive known her for about 3 years and we are quite close friends so there was no chance of that ;) haha i never go out looking for women, as much as i would like to dance with a few ladies etc, i dont define my night on how many girls i got with or danced with, i knew people who did that and tbh they just sounded stuck up and it never went to plan and they always moaned. tbh, in all the times ive been out, ive only ever danced with a girl, never anything more.

as long as i bust some shapes, have a good laugh and dont spend crazy amounts then im happy! haha

yeah i knew it was a weatherspoons, but it doesnt have the feel or look of a weatherspoons IMO, but then im comparing it to the one in newton.

newton is worth a try, its cheaper than torq though, all places are free to get into before 12. its a good laugh but it can be very samey.

yeah that be cool, i dont have many people to go out with haha ill have to let you know when im next out.

Fair enough, no point in ruining a friendship to get laid.
You're on the ball there, the people that go out looking are the ones that have a crap night, come home to a hand shandy and cry themselves to sleep haha, it's just not worth it.

I think that's the good thing about ginger, it's a wetherspoons for the younger generation, with cheap drinks to boot!

Well you've got to try things at least once, so how about you show me round newton and I'll show you torquay? I'll add you as a friend on here and when I go out next I'll give you a shout, vise versa.

yeah it was cheap, i normally have beer as pre drinks, then i order jack daniles and coke when im out, most of the time i make it a double, and its not exactly a cheap drink, but in ginger it was cheaper! i cant remember exactly how much cause i was pretty out of it :p

It's how I met my ex, and you're right..... Not GF material in most cases.
Yeah same, Beers then onto JD or morgans spiced/sailor jerrys, It is very cheap, £1 to double up iirc.
I'll have a go but don't expect anything haha I'd imagine I'd be terrible at it!

i imagine some people have met wifes/long term partners through it, but all the people ive heard, have always ended badly haha

dont worry, im just as terrible, i have next to NO confidence when it comes to the female species! haha
