ok i didnt think what i wanted would be too hard to find, im looking for a plain boring wireless mouse, only requirements are
- good battery life
- 12cm or longer,
- as few fancy extra buttons as possible
but it seems impossible to find, Ive got a Microsoft comfort mouse 6000 at the moment which is perfect, but the rubbers perishing and its just generally a bit manky, can anyone recommend something as close as possible too this in wireless?

Yeah, it is wired. I don't know if they do a wireless one.

The braided wire makes the wire less noticeable (not visually!) though if that makes a difference.

yeah i had a wireless mouse before, only thing i wasnt a fan of was battery life, last wireless i had would barely get a fortnight per pair of AA's but seems the battery lifes much better now.

Microsoft Sidewinder X8 is both giant and wireless :)

Razer Mamba is a wireless deathadder, but its very expensive...

The RAT 9 is wireless, but comes with 2 rechargeable batteries, so you use one while the other is charging and just swap over. The battery recharge is faster than the drain, so you are never without power. The battery lasts about 8 hours or so with quite heavy use.

Yeah I have a rat 9 and I'm at the pc most of the time and swap the battery once every day, its not a issue. Also the batteries don't seem to be wearing out on mine but this is a issue for some people so I've read.

Oh just remembered you can buy replacement batteries, can't mention competitors though.
