Introducing the new 576BHP VXR8

Nice engine, but man it's ugly. Prefer the less garish looks of the Monaro and earlier VXR8s.

hit the nail right on the head there, it's all blinded up and looks "pretty" at the rear with silly lights... sorry, this is a styling mistake... always liked the orignals but this one is going the way fo the Range Rover... LED and bling city... with no taste... overpriced (at £35-39k VFM, at this price, sorry but a 1 year old M5 will leave it for dead)... no one will pay this price for a Vauxhall... no matter how much rear end out action it gives.

Mistake. VNR/Monaro used to be muscle car... now it's trying to be something else...

I think they're starting to get carried away with the price. I'd want something more special for £55k.

I'd guess they are made by HSV in Aus and just badged Vauxhall.

A high dollar will ramp the price up paying the Australian labour.

At a bargain price I can see the appeal of these, but if I had the money for a super saloon, I'd rather pay the extra or go nearly new and get the Audi/Merc/BMW equivalent.

The residuals of these will be horrendous I expect?

For only 3k extra - I would take the Audi absolutely every day of my life

The VX looks fugly - very,(well the back, front isn't too bad) the back end is god awful just looks like a bogo std vaux estate.

I'm sure it is a good car, but by god is the pricing out - wants to be about 30k I reckon

That's the older VXR8 this new one has an extra 150bhp and is meant to handle better although I doubt it's anywhere near Audi standards of handling.
