I'm no expert in overclocking so can someone with more knowledge check over these temperatures and voltages and see what you think of this Overclock? I've had Prime 95 running for 30 minutes now and tested on a game or 2 and seems stable. I'm just not certain on temperatures with this cpu and motherboard.

Temperatures are fine and that's a pretty good overclock. The max recommended temperature for AMD FX processors is 62C. You should run prime for several hours to see peak temperatures and to get a better idea on it's stability.

1.5v is generally what people recommend maximum for the 8350. I'd personally try to get slightly lower voltage just to be on the safe side, even if that means slightly reducing the clock speed. That's just my preference though :)

I've now had prime running for around an hour and a half now and temperatures are staying around the same. Will try test it for longer at some point.

The voltage is actually set at 1.49v but it's showing up as 1.5v on cpuz etc for some reason? I will also try dropping the volts tomorrow and see what happens.

Definitely a good temperature for that OC at 1.5 volts, at 4.8ghz with 1.47/1.48v I was hitting 48 max.

Those are great temps compared to what I can get, what test are you running small FFT? are you sure there's no throttling?

You might want to use the latest version of Prime btw: http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft/

I don't think earlier versions were properly optimised for AMD FX.

I used Large FFT.

And according to Core temp as you see all cores were being used 100% so no throttling. Been playing Grid 2 and Battlefield 3 and no stutters and plays so nice with really good frames per second considering I play on a 30" monitor.

Try the latest Prime95 version, Bulldozer wasn't even released when version 25.11 was made so it won't be properly optimized.

Just spent the last 40 minutes stress testing the cpu with the newer Prime95 and all seems fine. Temperatures are up a little but my gf won't let me open the window she thinks its cold in here but I'm almost sweating.....

Very good temps, I was 3-5 degrees above that at at those clocks. It is probably the motherboard which has better optimisation than my M5A99X.

Looks good to me. Is it air cooled?

No this is Watercooled. I suspect I can get voltages down a little etc but I just have no time atm and the little time I do have I want to play games :D

This is my build
