Moore Tornado, NOW, live chaser footage

Seems like Perkins just dodged it but a huge hook echo has formed.

Goes to show that you can have all the radar technology you like but unless you have the spotters on the ground you really cant warn people clearly about tornados. In the end the storms never really tightened up, despite looking dangerous on the radar.

Still a big threat through today, again in the OKC metro area.

Sounds like OKC is under severe tornado/weather warning again, and a few tornado's have been seen, some damage done, people being told to get to shelters all over the area. :(

One guy saying there is a HUGE supercell heading into town and another spotter saying they can see a half mile wide tornado touched down.... saying people are driving into it because its so dark and you can't really tell whats happening up ahead through thick rain. Though that guy might be talking crap, tornado's at night are even more terrifying because the sound of a crazy storm close vs a tornado a bit away moving towards you, well its kinda like in the film Twister, till you get some lightning and luck you can't see it till its too late.

Looks like a huge storm brewing near Moore again, watching Stormchasemedia live feed.

This isn't looking good at all, pro meteorologists saying they've never seen anything like this on radar.

SOunds like maybe 3 touched down at the moment, a couple maybe either sides of OKC, maybe one moving into the middle and one on the other side hopefully going east and another one in Mustang wherever that is.

SEriously I don't know what people do in these kinds of states, outside of parents driving to kids, in tornado area's you see a storm and darkness like that, I'd drive any other direction and stay the night anywhere else instead, I mean you see that, its hard to miss the massive storm, you turn radio on, hear tornado, and you drive the other way surely?

My radar is showing that Moore is where the most rotation is occurring but is possibly occurring on the lagging part of the storm near Cogar and Spring Creek.

Powerflashes observed due to straight line wind speeds/brief tornado.

Doesn't appear anything substantial has occurred yet so touch wood Moore should be ok.

1 million people trying to leave a city doesn't go down well, heading towards Moore now :(

Damn, the flashes of you assume transformers blowing, bunch of them probably, from that distance the brightness through that amount of rain is ridiculous. Hope that isn't a full on tornado.

This is a VERY difficult storm to predict from the radar, the south side is very muddled up with multiple potential rotation sites. Need the spotters on the ground for this one.
