On a day off, which do you prefer and why?

Do you enjoy getting up at the break of dawn, listen to the birds singing and planning the day ahead or do you prefer to stay up late into the wee small hours after everyone else has gone to bed?

I've always been more of a night owl I guess, partly down to the fact that I used to do shift work. However recently I am starting to appreciate the benefits of getting up earlier on a day off and not sleeping half the morning away, I think the weather makes a difference as well.

I work night's all week (tuesday/saturday),i like to get up early monday morning (7am) and take my daughter to school and then go to the gym.

On tuesday morning i normally get up at stupid o'clock (could be 3am) and around 6 ill go for a run (only lately).

My sleeping pattern is non existence and sleep roughly 5 to 6 hours a day.

I like both, Sometimes my sleeping pattern gets messed and i can end up like it for a couple weeks. I like being a nigh owl though riding my bike around in the early hours is nice and peaceful

When I was younger I was most certainly a night owl, now I am older and stabilised in a 9-5 job and thus wake at 6.45 every weekday morning I find myself never really sleeping past about 8am on weekends.

I work 11pm-7am so most days I'm not in bed until at least 8am, on my days off it's hard to adjust back to normality so I tend to go to sleep around 4:30am and wake up about 11am or so, guess that makes me a Night Owl. :p

Plenty of time to sleep when you're dead. Late nights, early mornings. :)

Usual bed is 1:30am-2am, up at 7:30-8am. However it fairly often strays into 2-3am territory. :o

I'd like to be an early sleeper but I only need about 6 hours sleep so I go midnight on weekdays and any time on weekends. Any earlier and I've just wasted time.
