Can iuse 3network sim cards on unlocked/sim free phones?

As long as its a 3g phones as 3 doesn't have a 2g network.

Possibly true but I heard that they mast-share with Orange for 2G.

Cheers for reply. Finally got S4 for £420 on the bid on eBay and change my price plan to £12.90 (1 month rolling contract) 200mins,plenty of text and unlimited data plan as my contract end month today. Compare to I was paying for £37

Its only in a few very select areas, normal when I don't have 3g I have nothing at all.

I've only ever had 2G in Edinburgh with Three.
