Using GTX 570 at present but not hitting 120 FPS in BF3. What upgrade do you recommend?

Considered SLI 570 if I have enough room on mobo lol!

Or GTX 680 or even a 770.

I want to see a marked frame rate increase.

All advice appreciated.
 
You might need more then one to keep a steady 120 @ ultra 4xmsaa, if it's out of budget drop down to 2xmsaa with sbao which should boost frames significantly. Either way it should be a nice boost over your 570..

Have you considered a 670? Nice and cheap just now, should be able to clock up to 680/770 speeds too.
 
bf3 isnt worth the price for what cards you need to do that

no one card will do 120 fps even at that res

you need two top end cards minimum.
 
OP what settings are you using in game? I have played with all settings and after much though just leave mine on mainly low / off. I have a steady 60-120 odd fps all the time (if I didn't limit at 65) on my 580. Obviously on poorly optimised parts of certain maps it does dip down to 45. But Karkand / Armored Kill does that to all rigs in certain parts.

Plus playing competitively settings on Low give a big advantage over those using higher settings ;)
 
I have upgraded from 2 560ti's to 1 gtx 780. The difference in bf 3 was 90-100fps avg with the 560's and everything on high barring mesh which was ultra (no AA or motion blur or fxaa) to a similar fps with the 780 just with everything maxed. Strangely dropping from 4 x to 2 x aa didnt make much difference so im thinking that hbao takes a lot. I reckon if you had that turned off you could possibly average 120 most of the time.
