Hi All,
Well, I finally managed to JB my iPhone with Redsn0w, but I seem to find a way to break everything  Anyway, I got cydia on it and used activator to do without the power button and then went on to install some tweaks, anyway, my friend who's a jailbreak fanatic, installed iDroid (openiBoot) on the phone and then told me it wouldnt work (I think their website got shut down) anyway after the device restarted, it is dead!!! nothing, I tried manually restarting by removing the battery, nothing, I tried all PC apps, but its not getting recognised, nothing on the screen no life out of it at all, Has it broke well and truly now? or can I flash its memory to manually restore it?

P.S This Is My 100th Post :)

Try using a different PC if possible. When my main desktop couldn't do the job, for some reason a PC I had never used the iPhone/ipad/ipod touch with worked..

Not recognised on other PC and cant get into DFU because of broken power button, so I have 3 options

1-Repair The Power Button
2-Pay someone to repair the power button
3-Buy An iPhone 3g or 3gs with a smashed screen and use my screen to repair it

What should I go for?

I used something called Tiny Umbrella to enter recovery when my iphone wasn't responding after a JB. Theres also a fix recovery option, if it's still not picking up in itunes. Hope you get it sorted m8.

Thanks for the idea, but TU isnt working either, I might try and manually flash the hardware, I know the problem with it, Its boot configuration is borked because openiboot failed, any apple tech experts who can help me? Or fix the power button, only thing i worry is, if I buy the power button assembley, will it work again???

Try turning it off, hold the home button and plug the USB cable in, keep holding the home button until it's picked up by windows. It's not DFU, just recovery mode, but it might help.

What's wrong with the power button? If you've ok with opening it up, try taking the power button apart and cleaning the insides and see if that helps, my old 3GS had a troublesome power button and this fixed it.
