Stuck them on, and they didnt move the whole two hours!

Might be worth a shout then. I got some of the higher strength Crest ones mentioned earlier in the thread (heavy smoker, heavy drinker), I think they have a higher content of bleaching agents or sommat? But you're right, EXACTLY like clingfilm.

I got 2 sets of custom bleaching trays (one impression kit for now and one for the future) and 24 syringes of 38% carbamide gel for £70 delivered.

Only slight drawback is you have to send the impressions to a lab in the US which will cost another £10 insured.

Looking to get some now. Looking at eBay the prices vary so much between them (regardless of the specific type).

What are generally the best value for money strips? How long do you use them for? And are there a lot of fakes about?

Whatever you do, go for ones that mention advance seal. I've used the older ones a few times before and while they did make my teeth noticeably whiter, they tend to just slide of your teeth and it's very annoying moving them back :mad:

Any update Hamster? What quality were the bleaching trays you got back? How long did it take in total from you sending your impressions to actually getting the trays?

My teeth are not bad at all, but would like them a little whiter since I am an Ex Smoker bought Crest Whitestrips 3D Advanced Vivid 28 strips.

Hopefully I don't have painful sensitivity problems but will post back with how I go on when they arrive.

Internet makes it so easy to spend so much money grr!

I have been using the supreme ones for about a month. I got 82 for around 50 squid.

My teeth were not that bad, just some general "old age" off white colouring and some small stains due to smoking.

I have only been using them once a day, mainly because I don't have time to do it twice a day. For sure after a month my teeth are much brighter and the smoking stains have more or less gone. In fact my misses said my teeth looked luminous the other night :O.

Only thing to be aware of is getting the peroxide on your fingers; it irritates quite a bit. Also they can hurt. I noticed that I tend to get some quite bad pain in my teeth with fillings. Other than that I would recommend them.

Im pretty sure I should get some good results fingers crossed, I don't want to go luminous though.. May use them for a couple of days and see how it goes then stop when I am happy, then if I have left over will make the effort to keep them in tip top condition whilst brushing but also have some strips at hand to give them a little boost every couple of months.

We shall see!

I get this a lot and I use these. I have big front teeth that I used to get teased about as a child before I grew into them, and I always hear "you have such wide teeth", curse my insecurities. They all claim to be saying "white" but I know, I know!!!

Reading through this thread I ordered the Crest 3D Advanced Vivid 14 Day Supply which is 28 Strips, 14 for top, 14 for bottom.

Ordered this Sunday from http://www.discounthealthproducts.co.uk/Crest_Whitestrips_Supreme.htm, they have been dispatched today (Monday) eagerly awaiting now.

I swerved eBay but there has been many happy customers, just need the right seller!

------- To anyone who has used these I just wondered say I am out one weekend under the UV lights of nightclubs will my teeth glow hideously or is that only with laser treatment?

Has anyone tried Philips Zoom? The stuff where you get a tray made for your mouth, squirt in some gel and leave it on over night.

I got a free course with my dental plan. 15 minutes into it I got random lightening bolt pains in individual teeth which were picking up in frequency, so I took it out. The pains lasted for a further 15 minutes and then subsided. It was probably the worse pain I've ever felt.

There's not much about it on the web and no one really knows what causes it. The American's refer to these sensations as 'zingers' (Google 'tooth whitening zinger').

I wonder what is different about my teeth*compared to most of the world - maybe more porous?

Edit: Seems I am joined by Charlie Brooker! http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2006/nov/13/comment.charliebrooker (Although he had the more intense light-accelerated treatment, but the pain sounds the same).

Yep - seems to be Philips Zoom (but the day version with 38% CP instead of the Nite 16%). Did you get the pains I described above?

Should recieve within 3/4 day never realised it was being sent by Air Mail, Surely someone who has used these knows the answer to my question?
