FREE SKY TV AND BROADBAND for 12 months for O2 customers

I am opted out of marketing communications from Be. Lyssa McGowan, Director of Communication Products at SKY gave a telephone number to call at SKY to avail of this offer. Just spoken to three different people at SKY and not one of them had even heard of Be Broadband.

Wow that is really comforting

The only thing stopping me jumping in is that you will have to pay to get your phone back to bt after if you dont like them after 12months.

Never heard a good thing about SKY connection but its limited choice now that o2/BE have gone.

The deal involves going to their phone service. I thought you had to pay to switch back to bt afterwards?

I was with talktalks phone service before and BT wanted to charge me £129 for returning. I didnt of course but thats what they were going to charge me for reconnecting.

Be glad to know its not the case but I would have thought so.

£129 sounds like a new phone line. It should be free if you take broadband.

What's happening with you guys who are currently Be customers? I pay £22.44 for my Be ADSL2+ connection and have had numerous calls and emails from Sky about free TV or half price fibre. All of which I've ignored as I don't seem to be able to find good things about Sky internet.

It seems for the £22.44 I pay one could get fibre but I really like Be for its totally unlimited/unthrottled experience and I don't know off the top of my head anywhere else that does this. The phone line is with BT and I don't want any rigmarole of changing that so maybe BT Infinity is my choice?

The Sky service is unlimited & unthrottled.
 
I switched over to them. Getting switched over on 27th so I will update here a comparison of speeds.

£14.50 for everything though is a great deal. My exchange gets upgraded in Oct so after the 12 months will switch to fibre but will enjoy the free tv in the mean time
 
I was about to sign up to this offer and I believe the offer ends tommorow on 28th June!

The only catches I see is no mention what happens after 12 months if one does not want sky tv can they cancel and just keep paying the 14.50 line rental ?

Also no mention if you can keep your existing bt number ?

Only got till tommorow to sign up to this offer but it is sure tempting.

Yes you keep the number. Yes you can cancel tv and keep phone, but the broadband you will start to get charged for. £7.50 i think
 
I wonder what happens if you don't do anything. Do they keep charging you £22.44 even though you'll be on the same internet service as Sky proper who charge a lower price?
 
thanks yeah just checked they do mention its £7.50 per month for there bb but this is if you are taking out the tv package usually £31.50p quid per month, otherwise with sky talk it is £10 per month.

So it looks like after 12 months one can cancel the tv package, and just pay a tenner per month.

Cheaper and pretty much the same as it was with o2, cant go wrong really.
