Do you always run your GPU/'s overclocked?

I'm actually a little shocked that so many people don't run their cards overclocked all the time, especially considering a lot of the threads that end up with the tired old argument that when clocked card X is just as fast as card Y. this thread defiantly needs a poll so we can see the ratio of people that do overclock all the time.

Is this true of cpu's as well or are people just happy to let them run fully clocked when needed.

Myself I run my 470 at 800MHz 1800 memory all the time, that is to say when it ramps up as of course it doesn't run flat out in a web browser or other undemanding programme. For me it makes the difference of just keeping 60 fps in world of tanks and Neverwinter or 45/50 with the card running at stock

If you look at the selection of results so far. AMD owners overclock, Nvidia users don't. Apart from one or two examples, so far at least. Early days though ill admit. :p

Voltage control and having a card that overclocks well probably has something to do with that as well as we all know what Tahiti cards are capable of if you spend time overclocking.

Always overclocked if the game is old I'll just put nvidias adaptive vsync on as I find it lowers the frame times ms thing ma bob!

AMD stock

Nvidia stock
Nvidia overclocked

Just so we can see if it is as LtMatt indicated.

The SLI titan users are perhaps swaying the results slightly as there is no need for them to overclock. :D
 
7950's were always overclocked. Can't see my 780's being any different. Not all the way mind but if you have the power you may as well use it.

What's wrong with people - I'd overclock my sofa if I could. And they do need to to keep my benches from taking their top spots :D ha ha ha

In fairness I think I just enjoy that part of it as much as the browsing facebook and collecting steam games.......

Yup your right, maybe we need a poll that you have to give an answer to before you allowed to post or even read the graphics card section :D
