im not sure he is either, i know im certainly not upto overclocking mine yet and i had it 7 months.

just been on the phone to his dad and I will be ordering tomorrow and the budget is a firmly set £600.

from the input from you lovely people looks like a toss up between intel and amd based systems. olivier renault and idleman you never fail, your both legends, more so you olivier, fellow birmingham resident

Idleman it is £730 absolute maximum.

And in that he needs to have everything apart from an OS and monitor, a copy of windows is coming via work, and he running it through his tv so HD output on gpu is a must.

mouse wise i have a g400 which he likes and keyboard just anything that does the job, my £10 special is fine for me

Just realised I had over looked the K&M, when doing a spec for someone else. Does he have a particular case in mind or some idea. Some of these young teenagers seem to prefer the more colourful cases, trouble is they are not cheap.
