My cousin is having a bit of bother selling his Z4 at the moment.
Been on the market for a while but someone has just contacted him saying they work offshore, don't have internet banking, but want to buy it.
They're suggesting that they'd have a company come collect it once payment was made, in full, through PayPal.
In addition to this he's happy to pay full price without even seeing it.
*alarm bells*
He's faaaaaairly sure he's getting scammed (knows his stuff) and is aware that if it's too good to be true etc but the thing that's annoying us the most is what is the actual scam?
First thing that came to mind was he'd reverse the charges once he's taken it away - i.e. file a dispute and since there's no "proof" of delivery my cousin would be screwed.
Only other thing we can think of is that this guy is going to end up asking for a payment be made to the company that collects the car or something. Then just never turn up.
So, OCUK Detectives, what's the script?
