The only thing I can think of at this time of night is the case, it has got terrible cooling there is a well known reviewer out there who made it clear the case was **** poor. If you want to stay around the 370 range for a case take a look in the B grade section, they have a good couple of choices, the Shinobi or the Phantom 410 would be better choices. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/productlist.php?groupid=595&catid=687

Please note, that many XFX psus, suffer from fan clicking noise after a while, so you might want to consider one of Corsair's units.

Thanks for the recommend changes, heard nothing but A+ reviews for Seasonic. Any other changes anyone would make? Would ideally like to stick with Nvidia for the GPU

Sorry but just bumping again. Doesn't have to be AMD but this seems to be the only way I can keep the budget under £600. Main games will be Skyrim, BF3, COD all at 1080p. Monitor and other peripherals are not needed

That looks quite good Olivier but will the stock cooler be able to handle the Haswell heat?

In my opinion though as it will mainly be used for gaming, I think AMD may be the way to go, as in my personal opinion, think there will be a lot more console games that are ported over that will make use of the 8 cores.

A 6800K can not be combined with a 7750 card in Hybrid crossfire mode.

The best card you can use is a 6670.

A A55 chipset isnt great, no USB3.0 or SATAIII.

Finally APU's really need the best (fastest) RAM you can give them.

They can according to the ocuk page here.

As I said it was a bit of an odd suggestion, plenty of room for faster ram or a better board within the budget.

They cant according to the AMD press pack I have here.

*Although saying that they do have the clock speeds for the A10 6700 wrong in it.

Hehe fair enough, I think we will have to wait for clarification on this issue then.

The more I look at my build suggestion the more I think it really is a pile of crap, I would much prefer to go with olivier's build suggested earlier.:p

I was sent an update press pack the other day, maybe they changed it, what is funny is if you look around at reviews of the 6800K which also mention the 6700 base+turbo speeds they got it wrong at 3.9/4.2.

A A10 6700 is actually 3.7/4.3

It's a viable alternative, but it's a bit speculative. I would try to get a good FX board though, a 990FX / 990X chipset for overclocking.

Cooler isn't NEEDED but will always help.
Main usage is gaming.
I know my stuff so don't need to be baby talked through this haha, just seeing how much I can cram in for £600 and everyones opinion is always welcome
