Fans not spinning on ACX 770

I've been having serious problems with my new 770 wherein I would get ten minutes into a game before it crashed and forced a system restart. After some investigation, it turned out temperatures were reaching 100 degrees Celsius and that the fans weren't spinning at all.

Does anyone know why this is? Is this card just dead or is there a way to fix it? I'd rather not have to return it to Overclockers as it was a replacement card that I waited six weeks to purchase. Any help would really, really be appreciated.

Nope, its EVGA, cooler removal is well within the terms of their warranty

Ah ha, that was it! I pressed in on it lightly from outside the card and after plugging it all back in the fans sped up.

Hi Fargodog,

good to hear the card is working now like it should. How was the boxing of the card looking when you received it? Was the box still originally sealed?
