He wasn't as intimidating to play against as I thought he'd be, but saying that, the first game you just went with the flow and it worked, 2nd, as you said, you tried way too hard to use Ibra, which is the sure fire way to end up being annoying at a player, and then got countered by BABTIMBE!!! :D

You notice a change when amending formations? I know you asked in this thread and I forgot to respond. Originally when I changed a formation in game I hated the way it felt, however I was 1-0 down to some guys at half time, my 442 vs his 352 and I changed the team to 352 and it felt great and I subsequently ripped him a new one.

I'd like to try what you have done. Are you enjoying Neymar in a CAM position?
 
Thoughts on this? In reality will prob end up with NIF Ibra, but at the same time I'm worried about him up there on his own, Andy, do you find he fares better in a 2 striker combo?

When I had him originally he scored loads on his own in 4321 but he just scores as many with an ST beside him. The one thing with that formation is teaching yourself not to give him through balls as you'll just end up giving the ball away too much. The ball at his feet and his pace is ridiculously good but chasing a ball and its poor. I think that's why I struggle with 4231.

They're both awesome there, Vela doesn't feel as quick as his card suggests but his finishing is fantastic. Neymar I just manlove.
 
I might try something similar but with Ibra ST.

I've sold Messi, I didn't really want to but he's so expensive and his price is coming down all the time so may as well do it rather than lose more money.

What would your dream 433 team be converted to 4231 stewwwwy?

Heh, a minor crack but it still works fine. First game after playing you and I smash some random online and all the players felt great again. If they'd played like that against you the games might have been a bit closer!

Edit: Still unconvinced by either TOTS Hamsik or TOTS Vidal. Neither seem huge improvements over Sneijder and Pirlo respectively. Will have to give them a few more games then decide properly.

I think norm Vidal will be my next purchase. See what I meant about Vucinic?

Bloody Marchetti parried 2 shots onto the post in the first game too. He's a beast.

I think Ibra at CF doesn't work because of his running, that position I find players with the correct work rates run forward more than the ST's.

I get beaten severely by it, go to bed vowing to end it, wake up willing to give it a 2nd chance, only for the same thing to happen again!

Although, Andy I agree with your philosophy on offloading Messi, although with La Liga TOTS coming in 5 or 12 days his price is sure to jump back up around then, albeit not much and for a short while.

Can't decide between that 4231 I posted up above, or a Messi/Ibra 41212, or Ibra/TOTS Menez w/ Messi CAM in 352! :eek:

Yup, I feel the same at times. Whenever it happens and I feel ready to end it, I always play one more game where somehow win, which convinces me to carry on playing it.

For once though, with the exception of when I played theonejat last night, I've been in good form lately. I've only lost 3 games in my last 2 seasons which is very good for me. Hopefully it'll stay like that for a while.
 
Going to build a cheap team with Ibra up top and see how it copes. Menez at CF could be tasty but then that wools go against the cheap factor. How much is his IF?

I think at CAM you need either five stat skills to get away from players (the fake shot scoop) or strength. Messi has neither so not sure her cope at CAM. His long shot is great though.

Or maybe I could go Lacazette at CF who's a brilliant CF and Menez and Valbuena CAM's.
