I feel things like birthdays and christmas should be celebrated every other year

it comes around too fast for me to get excited about it...

(obviously in the case of birthdays you can choose to celebrate odd or even numbered birthdays but im assuming most would choose even)

That doesn't apply here, that is the probability that any two people have a matching birthday on ANY day of the year, the probability that someone's birthday is on a SPECIFIC day is different.

Back from my birthday lunch! Been a glorious sunny day today and had myself a really fantastic meal

We split a warm bread selection with our pre-dinner soft drinks. Yummy!

Starter for me was the sticky pork salad. Very nice! The pork was very tender and it was nice with the apple

Main was slow cooked pulled pork with bbq sauce, dauphinoise potatoes and an apple cider sauce. Also had a side order of chunky chips with this. OMFG so delicious! The pork was just so tender and succulent! Fantastic

And for dessert I had a dark chocolate and lime creme brulee, with homemade shortbread. Yet again very nice

And I also had an appletini cocktail with my dessert. All in all a very satisfying meal. Now I'm too full and tired to bother with grocery shopping. So to hell with it. Its not like I plan on having dinner tonight after that lunch. I'll go food shopping tomorrow
