Just get that 6670

That way you can at least use the computer!

If it wont crossfire then you still have one card to use

My advice would be to post a message in the Customer Service forum and ask "the idiots" at OCUK to help.

Let me know how that works out for you :)

Yeah, I think I may well do that.. according to the internet it should crossfire and on my motherboard it says crossfire X on it or something so should work..? lol

if you have been through what I have then you would understand how "the idiots" is justified. Think I may well go for the asus 6670 1gb ddr5 and crossfire?

Would you be able to link me one? :) thanks for your help btw :D

I can't (competitor), but it should be around £60. Maybe you can ask CS :) Asus HD6670 1GB GDDR5 + P&P? Doesn't hurt to try. Else, just shop around, or take the hit (about a tenner, a fiver, all considered).

Hell I'd even take a look at the local purple shop. They might have that card in GDDR5 for around that price. And don't ask the dude in the shop, they are usually clueless and are a bunch of yes-men.

Geez.

People. In case of APU - AMD (and Asus in mobo desc) names using embedded card + external card coupled as "Dual Graphics" system and in such case best external (PCIe) graphic card to be paired with APUs unit is Radeon 6670:

http://www.amd.com/uk/products/technologies/dual-graphics/Pages/dual-graphics.aspx#3

CrossFire is when you use two cards in PCIe slots and in such case you might use typical graphic cards for CrossFiring: 7950+7970, two 7970.. upto quad-GPU cards, as advertised. It was confusing once AMD placed graphic chips into chipsets and let to use them with discrete cards as "Hybrid CrossFire", but it would be better now to everyone to differentiate CF and dual graphics.

Basing on this info - what you want ? CrossFire, or Dual Graphics ?

I just want to add a gpu that will allow me to carry on using the apu graphics aswell? Is that called crossfire or dual graphics? Ive been recommended to hook my A10 5800K apu up to a 1GB GDDR5 HD6670? Simply because my mobo doesnt have any vga or hdmi ports to plug into my moniter so thats the reason why im getting another gpu because i dont fancy taking apart the computer and getting a new mobo now after it took me 6 hours to build the thing (im a newbie)
