Hi, thanks for taking the time to read this. Im having problem with my new card, I came here because you guys seem to actually know what youre talking about - not like some other places!

Basicly, im getting sound popping and laggy gameplay whenever I load this card. Attatched below are two images from latencymon, showing what is possibly the problem.

hahaha oops

Motherboard: Asus Maximus V Extreme
CPU: i7 3770k @ 3.5Ghz (stock)
Memory: Corsair 8gb 1600MHz
GPU: GTX 780 Gigabyte windforce
PSU: Seasonic 860w platinum

I have had no end of trouble with these Nvid drivers since I bought my GTX780 ! They crash in BF3, even the 320.11's that are ment to be fine ? Hope you get it sorted...

Are you using intel smart response by any chance? I had this issue while back and blamed it on windows 8 turned out to be my raid setup with hard drive and ssd.

I assume so, I have both ssd and hdd connected to my motherboard over the same controller too, so perhaps youre onto something, can you tell me more?

Do you have windows installed onto the ssd? Or you have in onto the hard drive and use intel caching to boost speed?
What you have the controller set to ide mode, ahci mode or raid?

Windows is installed onto the SSD, with the Hard drive being used for extra storage. The controller is said to ACHDI mode.

In the bios there were also some other settings which i dont quite understand. There were two ASM1061 storage controllers enabled, STAT6G_E12 and STAT6G_E32. I find it strange that two storage controllers are on at the same time but maybe thats normal?

Check to see if you installed intel smart response and remove it. I you not using g it anyway see if that improve anything. They is a lot that can make high dpc latency so also start looking at audio drivers, network driver etc are all up to date. It's a pain in the ass but you need to find the reason for the latency and latencymon can help but it don't always point to the correct sauce. Like me usb driver was showing high latency but that wasn't the reason for sound clicking and popping.

I'm one of the lucky bunch to have zero probs with the latest drivers for my 770, BF3 Ultra on metro 64/64 had a solid 120fps and peaked at around 150+

I'ts horrible, ive no idea if I should RMA, wait for drivers, do a clean install etc etc. Itd be nice to have access to drivers that work for people but that just isnt the case :(
