Gigabyte 7970 ghz edition *B grade* why so many in stock?

I sent 2x HIS 7970 and a Gigglebyte back for coil whine and they all appeared on there within 48 hours of them going back so I would say there is your answer!

Maybe not...

I returned 2x HIS 7970 Ghz edition for coil whine and I was looking everyday on clearance items after I returned them.. nothing there.. and 0 in stock as new.

2 days later after I returned the cards still nothing on clearance items but they got 2 in stock as new. (coincidence??, I even took a screenshot of this)

Nobody would notice that the cards were "used", because I tested them for less than 1 day and returned.

They should go on a new section like: *A Grade* with a price a little bit lower but with a full warranty.

For that price its worth it if you can deal with coil whine that is :D You can also try to use nail vanish on coils. Sometimes helps :)

If they are non-reference PCBs could be people who wanted them for watercooling or custom aftermarket coolers returned them.

I purchased the gigabyte one from the b-grade section...and it was and is in perfect working condition was absolutely nothing wrong with it...just didn't come with the free games...that's it...fully boxed all cables included

soooo yeah...incase anyone is thinking about buying it

Don't do this to me! Does it OC well?

259 with free games seems cheap

wouldn't you get remainder of 3 year Gigabyte Warranty ? which is based on manufacture date ? or would they see B grade on receipt and not honour any warranty ?

well the gigabyte one is already OC'd to 1100mhz by default...i managed to get 1155mhz out of it without changing anything...didn't try OC the memory so not sure on that front...but yeah the card is absolutely fine nice temps too and quiet

^^ I can see that now - but not if you follow a link direct off the forum etc ...

can't be that difficult to edit the product title can it ?
