Hello All,

New member just joined. Advised by a mate that you all are very knowledgeable and helpful so here we go. I'm looking for help for a new PC I want to get into the PC gaming and have a budget of around £1200 I'll need a monitor keyboard mouse and os as well as the system itself. I'm into fps mostly and want to try a bit of crysis 3 and far cry 3. Also some transcoding and a lot of streaming of footy so miricast sounds useful if possible. I want the option to upgrade as well. Not much I know!! Ive been looking at systems with haswell i5 and gfx 670 im not sure if im being over zealous or stupid so looking for a nudge in the right direction. Thanks for your help and let me know if you need any more info. I have broad shoulder's if I'm being stupid let me know thanks again

should give people a few more specifics, what size monitor are you after, a bigger one will eat more of your budget and a higher resolution will require more graphics power, are you interested in a good clocking mobo or just staying at stock speeds?
also is size a consideration, or are you fine with 60cm long 30cm wide giant cases? :) do you want giant corded gaming keyboards or basic wireless keyboards, etc :)

7950 vs 670 is a wash since the nvidia price cuts imo, take whichever your preference is, before the price cuts id have said 7950 no question though.
I agree with your ram swap :)
but Id rather take seasonics psu over the xfx since a good psu will outlast the rest of the system combined, and its got a 7 year warranty.

case/mouse/keyboard are largely personal preference :)

The XFX is made by Seasonic and OCUK will deal with any warranty issues.

Thanks Melvis and snips86x for the ideas I'm not bothered on case size I think 24" monitor should be fine for now I think I'll be starting stock specs but will try to get into the over clocking in time. Its my first custom PC so just trying to see what's achievable really all input is good has the PC build process changed much its been about 10 years since dealing with PC builds been more software side lately. Thanks for listening
