Haswell bundles - 16gb option?

Are there any plans to add memory options to the Haswell bundles? I'm interested in a Haswell overclocked bundle but would prefer 16GB of RAM
 
Im in the exact same boat as you mate, so im going to ring them up tomorrow and find out :P

Just out of interest, what rig are you upgrading from?
 
Just posted in the CPU forum mate, I'm currently running a Phenom X4 965 3.4Ghz CPU and 8GB of ram with a 6870 Graphics card. I mainly play flight sims and racing sims and also ARMA 2 and would like to upgrade to get ARMA 3 alpha running nicely. I've used AMD for years but I'm considering a change as it seems in forums such as Eagle Dynamics DCS World sim forums most users there seem to run Core i7's and the game runs well for them. Post back what you find out please
 
Yes I will let you know, I can't see myself buying an 8GB system for me needs so I may have to plump for something else if not :)
 
I have a feeling that they don't currently offer 16GB options on the site as they can't guarantee the overclock. Not to say that they can't sort something out :)

The only thing putting me off the upgrade is wondering if I'd be better of waiting for DDR4?
 
any bundle can be upgraded when ordered, and ddr4 will be a long while off as yet, and prices too high to start off with for most.

just ask at time of ordering

Hi I will bring this to scottiB's attention but I see no reason why we can't do a 16gb option. 2 X 8gb sticks are just as stable as 2 X 4gb sticks it's when you step up to using all 4 slots the IMC comes under a bit more stress.

This was something that we originally planned to do, we just did not have the time to test the configurations properly before launch.
 
Thanks for the response. How is it now? Still as stable with 16gb and a 4.6 oc? I'm interested as ordering in thr the next couple of weeks

myself and our resident overclocker 8 Pack were over in Taiwan for Computex last week so we'll be trying to sort this out this week.
 
The 16gig options seem to of been added to the bundles, however they all seem to be 4x4gig ram chips. I thought for OC purposes you normally only used two ram slots so I expected 2x8 chips?
