Thought I would share my Prime95 and Realtemp stock temperature figures with everyone for the Intel 4900MQ Haswell mobile processor. TJMax being 100C.

I haven't had much experience with other like processors, so my comparison would be somewhat useless! :)

I did a very basic benchmark using Unigine, not really a comparison as such considering the large difference between the HD4600 and the GTX780M, but all I can do really :)

I guess the fact that the HD 4600 can render this at all and still not give me completely still frames in this benchmark is impressive!

Err system its in?

Not sure I'm supposed to mention the company here, so take a guess. Performance wise, I imagine the OCUK versions would be very similar on release.

The only thing i'm not convinced about is the current NVidia drivers available (or not available as may be) for the 780M. I'm hoping to see further improvements on these numbers and my experience in the only game I've been playing SWTOR which has been favourable @ AVG 80FPS @ Max settings @ 1920 x 1080.

Are these temperatures not smoking hot?

86C?

This is insane, no?

TJ Max is not the maximum safe operating temperature. It is the temperature at which the CPU will throttle itself to avoid frying up. Acceptable operating temperatures should miles away from TJMax and they say that max operating temps should be at least 30C away from it.
