Frankly, I've seen the graphics produced by the Xbox One and PS4, But while great, They don't really push gaming forward do they a whole lot, I feel this is one of the first generations of gaming where we can really say that graphics are not whats important on a new machine anymore.
Sony's take remains to be seen, but I wouldn't say the Xbox One is all about shiny graphics at all. Kinect, Smartglass and a rejuvenated Xbox Live (dedicated servers, cloud processing) have the potential to push gaming forward far more than a humble tablet controller.
That said, I'm not likely to be buying an Xbox One at launch. The games look cracking, as do many of the new features, but as yet the only launch exclusive I'm interested in is Dead Rising 3. For the rest, they're either unknown quantities (Ryse) or are coming to PC as well. If Nintendo get the right line-up of first party titles on to the Wii U this year, I could be tempted. Very much depends on which games and how much the console plus a couple of games will set me back.
