Is it worth having a dedicated card for PhysX?

I have 2x GTX 570's and a single GTX 285 which I could use for PhysX... is there much point? and is this even possible?

I play BF3 and will play BF4 on release :)

Cheers,

G

Don't see the point because running a slower card (285) alongside another faster PhysX card (570) means it won't be able to keep up so it ends up actually reducing frame rates. Very counter productive and also the extra heat, noise and power consumption for something that is so gimmicky and rarely used makes it even less worth using, especially in a SLI setup.

You are mad, the 2 batman games make awesome use of physx.

The other game I would also rate is mirrors edge, very old now obviously.

Take the 'maybe' out and yes, Batman series make good use of it.

@OP, if you can get some nice money and wish to reduce power consumption/heat output, sell it. Otherwise, keep it and use it for PhysX. I had an AMD+PhysX setup for ages and enjoyed it.

Good luck
